las palmas

just thought i would let everyone know what i saw about 4 hours ago. My better half and myself decided to go for a bit of a sun bathing on one of the beaches in las palmas and just as we sat down to catch some sun a couple of blokes about 30ft in front of us only caught a octopus about 18" long. it was a sight to behold especially as when they were pulling it in it attached itself to one of the blokes arm. quite a sight.

sorry i have not posted any reports or pics since the last time i went fishing in the south here. the reason is since then we have found out my better half is expecting our first child and is now 4 months gone so things are a bit crazy at the mo trying to get things sorted like the nursery and other baby stuff, but when i next go i will report back and have some pics too.

regards jay

Re: las palmas

i swear it really happened i still cant believe it. A similar thing happened to my father-in-law a few years ago he was trying to pick the shells that cling to the rocks along another beach front when in a incoming wave a small octopus appeared and attached its self to his arm.....
octopus or pulpo as the spainish call it is common around the canary isles and is all ways avaliable fresh every day in the super markets.
