recovered and refreshed and ready to go !

well i,m all reset up and my rig wallet is again refilled and the lead box has been replenished and i have to say my rag and peelers are looking good .
so i,m alsi confident that i might catch a fish or too and today i,m actually targeting bass as reports from my local venues have been very good.
i,ve also been chatting to a couple of anglers in the know around here and there is an outside chance of a smoothound as over the last three weeks they have been getting caught and appently over the last two or three years the numbers being caught from our local beaches have been increasing .
so with all that now done and my venue picked out with one or two back up venues just incase its not fishable for what ever reason .
the car is loaded up not forgeting my faithful camera and tripod (well you got to be confident )and top of tides being at between 8.30pm to 9.01 pm i have plenty of time to rethink if venues are out of sorts .
i.ll report when i get back then .
then it will be back to preping for wednesday for a tench session hope to take my boy with me for that but thats another day and another report .

tightlines
kevin

Thumbs up Re: recovered and refreshed and ready to go !

Where do you get the stamina from Kev? I'm still knackered & recovering from the Smutt meet. Thought that would have put you off for life
Well they say you can't put a good man down. Good luck mate & catch a smoothie for me....

Re: recovered and refreshed and ready to go !

well i would like to know myself may be i,m just hyper active
no seriously i hate being beat especially by a fish so instead of letting it get to me i get straight back out there and try again but hey you should know by now how much passion i have for fishing ,any type
and also has you know if you fall off a bike you get straight back on

Re: recovered and refreshed and ready to go !

well got there look at the sea thought ut oh going to be a rough session

any way set up the rods one with a pulley rig and baited it with peeler crab and a two hook rig which was baited up on both hooks with rag both were sent out into the surf and a good blusterly northeasterly was blowing straight into my face . swoon both rods were pulled out of position by the in coming waves
and i just relentlessly reeled in and rebaited every time it happened which was very often indeed .

so as you can probably gather from the picture of the calm conditions i was fishing in that i BLANKED!

Re: recovered and refreshed and ready to go !

wow kev i understand the passion and getting out fishing (i got back home at 2 pm from holiday on the isle of wight!) and was back down the cliffs fishing by 7pm

but in rough sea like that?!? er no!!

although you was trying for a bass so maybe you need to get out in the rough! however they do like the calm too i catch them in the local harbour here where a ripple on the water is a rare sight!
