ok lets give it a try

ok i,m taking the plunge and going to get my self out on a beach in the morning .
i,ve checked the tides and high tide is about dinner time so
i,m going to fish three hours up and two hours over ok now bait wise i have mini squid ,large squid . some mackeral ,some frozen peeler crabs and if the tackle shop have got any worms i,ll buy fifty on the way .
i,m also going to take my camera as you never know a fish might take pity on me and commit siucide on one of my hooks .
so i,ll report to ya all how it goes i,m not expecting a crawling up the rods session but it will be fun so here warning to any angler thinking of visiting a east coast beach tommorow look out a sea fledgling is out trying to chuck some lead out embarrasingly badly and very short aswell
but i,m going to have fun trying and thats what its all about .

Re: ok lets give it a try

just taken a blow on the bait front thought i was going to be able to get some mackeral from asda but they ain,t got any but no worries tackle shop should have some but they had some mussels so i got the missus to get some just in case i decide to fish the pier or one of the groyne beaches where mussel would be in abundance in big clumps clinging to the structure

Good luck Kev. Just trust in beginners luck. It usually works, especially if you fish next to an expert. Looking forward to meeting you at the Smutt meet.

Re: ok lets give it a try

I tried Weybourne this weekend. Flat sea, westerly blowing and 3 dabs. Could be worse.
