Saturday @ Hopton

Arrived at Hopton this morning around 9am.

This was what the sea looked like at the slip:


As you can see, very calm. As we set up my thoughts to turned to blanking; low tide, clear water, calm and sunny! However, bites were quite instant and we caught 3 whiting in the first 30 minutes, all small and taken on rag tipped with mackerel.
I thought this will be a great session as clouds were coming, the wind picked up slightly and the tide was rising. However, we caught nothing else until last cast when this was on my hook, possibly the tiniest fish in the sea:


It's a bass by the way (photo not very clear)

Had an enjoyable day.

Yes mate, he seemed to go off alright. It was good to watch the whiting go back as the water was so clear you could see them for a while.

I'd have been chuffed with the Bass mate. At the end of the day, a fish is a fish no?
