Pakefield today

We arrived at Pakefield around 11:30am and had set up and cast our rods by 11:50.

HW was at 3:00, the weather was pleasant but there was a cool breeze.

Baits used were rag and squid

I was first to catch a small pout after just 5 minutes of casting.

My grandad caught a small codling about 25 minutes later on squid

We were getting a few big knocks but they wouldn't get on the hooks, still wondering whether they were bass or cod...

We caught another 5 fish(codling and pout) up to high water but then the bites really dried up.

The next fish was about 4:30 when my grandad caught another pout:

I then caught a crab about 10 minutes later and that was it.

We left at about 8pm and had a nice day.
