Pakefield Tomorrow

Im off to Pakefield (Suffolk) tomorrow (friday) in the afternoon till wheneva I run out of bait. Been reports in the paper of up to 3 codling per angler most days! Biggest last week was 5lb.

I had one about 1/2lb the other week, went back safely, apparently there are alot around that size at the moment, good sign for next year!

Will post on Monday with results

Re: Pakefield Tomorrow

Hi guys,

Had a pretty good afternoon/evening in the end. Me and a mate went, got there at 3.00pm, sea was like a millpond! Wasnt sure how it would fish in these conditions but you gotta try!

Would you believe first cast a decent whiting, just over the 1lb mark, next two casts the same again, couldnt believe it, are the cod gona show....

Had just enough Lug left for a couple more casts, sent it out only 40yrds (very weedy any further out) and WHAM, over went the rod tip, couple of minutes later a 4lb codling on the beach!!!

Finally, that elusive codling!, Im made up!
