Went out yesterday for the 1st time in ages.

We wanted to find a new place to fish we got to Lowestoft at around 3:00, drove onto the pier, and spoke to someone fishing, "what you had?" goes into his bag pulls out a 3lb bass, great we think, we'll set up next to you then? No mate, pier closes in an hour for fireworks, so not really worth it!

After going round in circles for about 1 hour we ended back up at Pakefield.

At 4:30 we were fishing, rag slung out. My grandad got the 1st rattles, he reeled in a whiting. Next cast he got a pout.

At about 6:00, i got my 1st fish a small whiting, next cast got a pout, then a few casts later, a codling of about 3/4lb. Last fish was a small whiting again.

Was a nice evening watching the fireworks and fishing
