No congers in the boat

I`ve made it an unwritten rule that no congers come into the boat. As its only a small boat it would become treacherous if they were allowed to writhe about on the deck.
It would be a pity to just let the big ones go without some record of it. Is there a safe way to get hold of them for a picture and to weigh them without bringing them into the boat and leaving my fingers intact while not damaging the fish?

Re: No congers in the boat

Whats wrong with Congers mate, the're cute & cuddly!!!
Seriously how about getting a few turns of the trace around the hook on a large set of scales with the fish still over the side of the boat? May be tricky or it may work.
