| A day out from Brighton An invite from Alan Kirby for a days Conger fishing on his boat 'Whiplash' today out of Brighton. I have fished with Alan many times and it is always a proper laugh and we normally manage a few fish. This trip had been planned a while and fortunately the weather played ball for a change. You can only really do this type of fishing on the Neap tides as you are fishing in around 200ft of water! The day got off to a decent start and we managed to catch a few Mackerel for bait, although Alan brought some Cuttlefish too. We had a great day,a good few fish caught including a Cod around 10lb. I was in conservation mode for most of the day! Managing to 'Let them go' before I even had them up! Alan had an absolute brute of an Eel,we never weighed but we estimated it to be around 80lb (See video) After trying to destroy the boat it destroyed the Gaff instead! A great day Alan. Thanks a bundle,I really enjoyed it......and we never stopped laughing! A couple of babies. ![]() ![]() The 'Brute'! ![]() ![]() ![]() A video of the big one.Part of the Video is upside down.I know nothing of Video and have no idea how to turn it the right way! http://s52.photobucket.com/albums/g2...t=9bd61482.mp4 http://s52.photobucket.com/albums/g2...t=552b43f8.mp4 __________________ http://www.rokerronseaangling.co.uk/ |
