Hi Everyone,

Ive just bought a second hand penn 535 multiplier to start fishing for conger from the shore / pier. Can you advise me what line is best for this?

Thanks,

Chris.

Re: Line question for conger fishing from the shore

I use 30lb on mine, and I have a 60lb shock leader.... not because it's getting cast hard but because of it rubbing against rocks etc.

You could always use braid if your not casting it, for the likes of dropping off the side of a pier. Whats your preference?
