crumpled is on a distinguished road
Chesil Beach

I'm thinking about a visit to Chesil Beach, but have tried a few times before and had no luck. Generally like spinning, but open to suggestions. I mainly park in the main carpark and walk over the hill to the right. I use pretty light gear, 13ft spinning rod and 40g lures. If the wind is in the wrong direction it's not worth the trip. I usually fish other locations for Bass and do OK, but would like to catch my first Cod. Could I get away with the same gear, or should I try something new?

Re: Chesil Beach

maybe you should try legering...with 5-6 oz leads and a rig on the end? a beachcasting rod and 15-20 lb line and about twice your rod length of 60lb shockleader on the end of that, with a swivel for attaching rigs on the end of ur shockleader. then bait up your hooks with a big bait, or if ur going for cod use a pulley rig with big baits and a 3/0 4/0 or 5/0. just a suggestion
