Cod this weekend.

Thinking about trying out the cod this weekend. It will be a matter of trial and error as this is my first time. There is a really good mark i have lined up, its got steep rock faces all round with a gulley about 75 yards out that all the stuff off the rocks get washed through. Does this sound good for cod? I was thinking so? Thats where all the mackeral were caught during the summer. Any help would be great i.e how long your leave the bait in the water each time. Also is it important that you go fishing for cod soon after a storm? Cheers

I caught a couple a few weeks ago on reefy rocky mark on the ebb, only inshore too. so I don't see why not, this weekend just gone I was fishing loose ground probably mussel beds/crab etc, not much showing on the sounder.
