| fishing in norway hi,has any of you guy`s been fishing in norway? my friends and i are going to bergen in march for a weeks fishing,we got a boat and cabin for 7 days,cant wait. does anyone have any info/tips on catching big cod? .what rods/tackle.ect.ect,many thanks,lezza ![]() |

| Welcome to the best froum on the net mate Never fished Norway but have read some articles on it... They tend to use jig heads and stuff. You know the thing big lead heads with flashy fluorescent bits and big hooks. Did you book through Leisure Angling or Anglers World one of them has a leaflet on tackle and methods. Have a good one. | Re: fishing in norway Hi mate, Welcome aboard!! From what I hear, you're going to have a great time! This month's Sea Angler has an article about plaice fishing in the fjords, and they make references to previous articles about Cod Fishing (up to 40lb ), so you might want to have a look through the back-issues or get in contact with them.Oh yeah - and you're a jammy git! | Re: fishing in norway thanks shaun/wellyfish/ i booked with a company called din tur,they are really good,just recieved a dvd from them so will be looking at that in a mo,they supply the boat and the rods and reels,just need to find out what end tackle i will need,dont want to get caught short with a big fish on the end of my rod,lol,do you know were i can get on a boat navigation course,think i may need it,thanks for your help guys,what a great site,if any of you are comming to fish in the river mersey this year,give me a shout,will do all i can to help.the winter fishing for cod is really good here,frome shore or boat,many thanks,lezza |

| Re: fishing in norway You lucky devil...would be intrested to learn how u arranged trip cos I've often fancied it ...we watch the ferry with envy leaving the tyne every time we go fishing there. Just a thought...Norway in march will be chilly ..pack the thermals. Dave |

| Re: fishing in norway hey jb,i did it over the internet,tried the 1 in the sea angler,but the guy i spoke to was as much useful as a chocolate teapot,so i found 1 in norway called din tur,they are really good,and dont cost too mucheither,many thanks,from lezza(jammie git,lol) |

| Re: fishing in norway hey dave,dont go by boat,takes to long,and flying is cheap and it gets you there much quicker,i leave here at 10 am and will be fishing by 5 pm,its easy to arrange these trips,need any help,let me know thanls m8 |
