Re: COD at dungie

yes mate, the cod will not be showing yet,the odd small codling might start showing over the next few weeks, november usually is a more reliable month, but every year is different.i always keep an eye on the local papers for the match results.as for where, the point is often one of the better areas, this is where the tide is the strongest, line up the lighthouses and you wont be far off.the only bait digging i have done down there was on the eastern side of dungie,on the road towards littlestone (the coast road).
hope this helps.any other queries, just shout,

Re: COD at dungie

Hi mate,

Good advice from Paul - I also like the area round the point, Dengemarsh.

If you're in the area, then other marks that are worth trying are Admiralty Pier in Dover, or the Southern Breakwater (Cod should start showing in October here, dependent on how quick it gets cold this winter), November is also worth a try on night tides at Deal Pier, Kingsdown beach and the area around Walmer Castle too.

You can dig bait at Sandwich Bay, I've never tried a pump, but see no reason why it wouldn't work.

Where are you based Needle?

CheerZ,
JB.
