The Grey Side

Not sure wher really to post this so dumped it here

Really have been enjoying getting myself back into the course fishing(the dark side) but still love the sea fishing(the light), Too me they are part of the same thing, in the same way as wether you drive a tanker or a mini, its still driving,(guess the angling equivilent is a 13ft beach caster versus a 7" brook fly rod )or even sea fishing can be broken bown to shore or boat etc, they are still all angling,,

I am finding that its making me more aware about my angling in general(all varieties) and gives options when beaches are packed hit the rivers etc
dont think one will overtake the other, and glad this forum covers both so well and can answer questions on all subjects or passions so well
so for me I am happy to be

Pingu the Grey

Re: The Grey Side

Nicely said mate. Until a few months ago I was a sea angler, but I've loved my darkside angling since then. I'm sure skills learnt will cross-over to my sea fishing. I now love playing a 5lb carp to the net as much as I love catch a double shot of dabs on Dungie beach. Ultimately, we're all anglers and we love catching fish

Re: The Grey Side

i used to prefer the dark side but i have seen the light now and prefer the light side (mainly due to living a stones through from the beach)
still enjoy abit of river fishing but i have gone off lake fishing, they just seem like tame fish to me now
its still all fishing though and if i had the option of catching tame fish or not fihsing i would catch the tame fish

Re: The Grey Side

I'll have to stick to "the dark side". I'd like to say I can cast that far but that would be a taller tale than the size of fish I pulled back.

Re: The Grey Side

Because I do not eat much meat at all, chicken and fish mainly, I fish to eat the catch as well as enjoying the sporting side of it.

Some people put them all back, but I do take some, of the correct size or above, for the pot.

And that is my main reason for not going course fishing.
