Re: posting rods

Ben it sound if the guy is just trying to get more money from you. How do you think they ship the rods normally ?? Do you think that they would ever sell

Just check out the shipping prices from online tackle dealers for that rod

Just be careful and do not pay anymore than £25 tops and if it stings alone then do a charge back through your bank and get your money back as the rod is great but there will be others

Its just a shame that this happens

Re: posting rods

Just checked - rods I got off ebay for Hubby came in a rigid cardboard tube with plastic caps on the end, p&p £13 from London to Paisley, were absolutley peachy and totally undamaged, in fact they estimated £15.50 and gave me 2.50 back since p&p wasn't as much as they expected. which I thought was really honest of them and a refreshing suprise in this day and age!

Re: posting rods

Ooooooh, had to plank it under the kids bunk beds and it still stuck out so approx 7ft minimum I'd say. Postie had to bring it in the big van I know that coz he said it didn't fit in the wee metro van they drive into the development every day.

Re: posting rods

Did it show? Where was it comming from, the moon? I got a sinker mold from Australia in 4days maybe 5 if you count the time diff (?), where it took 18 days for another mold from Alaska. Both were about the same $, go figure.
