| Re: Photo's I had to super glue the buggers feet down cos he kept escaping. We had a great thunder storm here last night and I attemped to take a couple of shots of the lightening. Never tried it before and didnt realy know how to go about it but I managed to capture a few. If anyone has any tips on taking lightening pics then I'm all ears, I think I was lucky realy to be honest, although I have altered the images somewhat cos they were hand held and I wasnt sure of what settings to use. see below. The settings I used (i think) were 1/25th sec and also 1/16th sec. on continuious shooting mode. This means that you hold down the shutter releace button and the camera will continuiously take frames and store the last 5 frames taken.I'm not sure but maybe it would have been better if I used a really slow shutter about 4-8 seconds and turned the aperature up. (or is it down? i cant remember) |

| Re: Photo's Hi Pixy, I spent a few years working in Africa. In those days there were no digital cameras but I used to set up my Pentax on a tripod with the shutter release on "B", after the flashes I moved on to another exposure and so on. The results were staggering to say the least. I also set it up on the Post Office tower in Johannesburg with the same results. All trial and error. Wonderful shots, please keep us posted, your pictures are always worth viewing. | Re: Photo's Cheers Tas, what does the "B" mean...is it bulb? This is one of my favourites, its an American Buzzard. I do some vermin shooting on a local caravan site and I shoot pigeons and the like, all the dead vermin go to this bird. Looks well fed dosent he.!! ![]() |
