Are there no temporary posts anywhere?

Over here the job situation isn't much better but over summer i get a job as a lab assistant, its only temporary but it's full time hours!

there are a few but seeing as North wales has the biggest unemployed to work ratio in the uk about 9% its not that easy, plenty of temp jobs in the summer , but its winter

yes plenty of agencies , but even those don't have that many jobs , plenty of care home jobs , but i don't want to work in a care home ,

we had a bespoke joinery comp for 27 yrs , this went tits up at the start of the recession . bank took away our overdraft and 21 peoples jobs , so i called time ,
since then i have been doing mainly gardening /landscaping as this is what i was trained in when i first left school

Bankers , now that rhymes with something. It never ceases to amaze me that the first thing they did when they got bailed out was to pull the plug on so many companys overdrafts. My mates runs a profitable company (still) that employs about the same number of people and he was only just able to hang on by the skin of his teeth when his bank suddenly (and without warning) not only denied an expansion overdraft FOR ONE MONTH but also halved his existing overdraft. I can understand them pulling the plug on bad businesses but this is just bloody spiteful. The big book has something to say about this kind of thing. Unfortunately it seems that the only people who cannot go bump these days are the bankers. Nope still can't think what that rhymes with.

Hope you find something soon Nick. I know what it's like to run a company and watch it die but I am fortunate , I guess, in that I had no employees other than me so as painful as it was , it was only painful for me and my family.

North Wales is a bit like the Isle of Wight I think. A wonderful place to be if you are on holiday OR you have a good job but a complete bitch if not.

how come the government can bail out top companies and banks but not help the smaller ones is it i wounder the old school tie scenario ,, i had two main professions before becoming an art and music teacher ,,,i was a skilled engineer machine fitter ,then worked for my self before i got blown up by a power press lol both useless jobs to be in now, my bro was tool maker at lucas and longbridge ect now hes an A E nurse no chance of being laid off
