What is it with us anglers that local nutters find amusing , i mean weekend comes we decide for a peaceful session at our local lake river canal ect ect ,we get there set up chuck in, soon as your line hits the water the local nutter who happens to be the venues fishing expert appears like mr ben and sits right in your swim right where you cast trampling your gear as he tries to stop himself from falling and spilling his can of brew ,then proceeds to tell you about every fish he has ever caught 3lb roach carp to 40lb and what your doing wrong then as you finally hook a biggy he grabs the landing net and starts to thrash at the fish like hes at an s and m ho down you let him incase he hasnt had his medication,then when he finally lands it he tells you hes had bigger and your rigs all wrong ,,,where do they come from i have actually packed up because of one of these ppl do they hide in the hedges in gangs or maybe its a ruse by the anti fishing brigade to scare us from the banks ,,ive had life stories told me like i was clair rainer god save me from these nuts, cant they see i have problems of my own the wife nags and the kids wont let me watch the footy on the tv my boss is a pain and im stressed thats why i fish for the peace .i swear one day im gonna try human live bait for that 50 lb pike the nutter caught when the world was black and white hruuuuuuuumphhhhhhhhhhhh

LMAO , great story,
I dont get many nutters but theres always other anglers down the river approaching me with stories of monster fish I just smile and nod as most of them are harmless

Know what you mean. It's the crazies version of "oh you should have been here last week, there were mackerel being chased up the beach , not your normal ones these were all four pounds. Then there were the thrity pound bass chasing them, but they hardly got hold of them before the three hundred pound tope got them......", know the feeling.

Luckily I now live on the western edge of the midlands urban sprawl. I cannot even begin to imagine how inner city canal anglers must get on what with the canals attracting more nutters than a free nutcase convention at the NIA.

my nutters move in lol i pretend to be asleep they still come over 1 asked me "how bout a tea then" when i was brewing up i couldnt believe it, thing is i did him one i mean you never know might ov needed a drink for his medication ,another asked my brother to borrow him a rod he had set up behind him after bugging him for 30 mins he told him politely to check his parentage to which the nutter replied "no need for that" lol realy couldnt help laughing when an empty can of beer went straight in bros swim followed by the expletives and rumble of boots was funny tho

i fish the stretch by bham city center runs down to the fazely there is a homless pitch right on it me and the bab have had to find swims on the other bank even asked factories for acces i even offerd to pay lol ,,,yea sea fishing i had a bloke go from telling he had caught all these fish ect on the harbour wall to how he slaughters animals and about his family scary and specialy at4 in the morning,,,,,yes how i long for those peaceful days growing up in a Herefordshire village miles of river with no main roads ect lol

Well im glad these 'nutters' are nationwide!! nuthin like the local T*s*r thinking it's his right to riffle through your tackle box and tell you how crap/good you tackle is!! then they light up an 'ilegal' ciggy and pop open a can of pertol and start guzzling it like it's pop!! happy day's!!!!!

Christ , sounds like you have a bad infestation of nosey pr#ck in you area. Best defense is to ask him what he thought of labours policy on the NHS. This will probably result in some drooling and bozz eyes, he can then be shooed away with a newspaper

im taking a cattle prod next trip lol had one sit and tell me once he was the local bayliff and wanted 3 quid lol he was cut and holding a bottle of frosty jack and said he would phone the old bill if i didnt pay lol
