Exclamation Picture Posting on the Forum

Picture Posting on the Forum:

1. First of all you need to set up a profile on this website Fishing Photos. It would be good if you used your same nickname/handle as on the Fishing Forum. You can also find this link at the bottom of the Fishing Forum homepage.

2. Once your account has been set up you can create and organize your albums using the tools to the left of the page.

3. Now resize your picture to a maximum width of 500 pixels. You are now ready to upload your picture.

4. Click ‘upload picture’ located at the top of the webpage.

Now click on which album you would like the picture uploaded to ( marked A ) and then click on browse to find the picture on your PC | marked B ). A dialog/explorer box opens. Locate the picture you wish to post and then click on ‘open’ in that same dialog box.

5. Now you can add a picture title and a description if you wish. Once this is all done you then need to click on ‘Upload Picture’ located at the bottom of the webpage. Congratulations, your picture has now been uploaded. Now leave this page open as you will be returning to it later.

All the above steps have now enabled you to upload your picture. The following steps will now allow you to add your photo to your Fishing Forum post. You are nearly there!

6. Now, on the Fishing Forum website you need to create your post. You will also need to be in the ‘advanced mode’ for posting, which looks like this.

If you are posting to an existing thread, don’t use the ‘Post Quick Reply’ button, instead you need to click on the ‘Go Advanced’ button. If you are posting the start of a new thread, you will automatically go ‘advanced’.

7. Type your post out in the normal way but this time click between the texts where you want the picture to be placed. The blinking cursor will mark the place where the picture will be placed.

8. Returning to the other screen where your picture is uploaded (this is the full sized picture and not the thumbnail) right click on the picture. A new dialog box opens. Now left click on ‘Properties’. The dialog disappears and a new one opens. This time you will see on the left of this box ‘Address (URL)’ Right click on the middle of this text and left click ‘select all’, then right click it again and this time select ‘copy’. This now loads the pictures URL onto your mouse.

9. Now return to your Fishing Forum post and just check that the cursor is still blinking where you want the photo. Notice now at the top of the message box a small yellow icon. When you hover your mouse over it, it says ‘insert image’. Click on the icon and a dialog box now opens which says ‘Explorer user prompt’, right click this box and left click ‘paste’ and then click ‘ok’ on the dialog box.

10. Your picture should now be loaded into your post. You can check this by clicking ‘Preview Post’ at the bottom of the message box. If its not then you need to repeat steps 6 – 9 but Im sure you won’t need to.

Happy picture posting.
