This is moving on to dodgy ground Ben. I think most people accept that asylumn should be offered by any civilized country to any person in danger of their or their family's life. What gets most people annoyed is the constant influx of econmic migrants who sponge off the state and migrants who then complain about how we in Britain behave wth regard to their belief system/religion/ideoligy (delete as appropriate).

By all means come here, but be prepared to work for your living, respect the British way of life, have your own places of worship but don't expect the British tax payer to fund them. In return, we'll make you welcome if you are prepared to integrate into our communities.

I share your view's exactly mate and in no means incite or support racism in any way. Believe it or not even I have been on the receiving end of this myself, if only in a minor way with comments from people saying ‘well if you don’t like it, go back then’…meaning NZ. These are indeed extremely racist remarks, of which are not governed by colour!

These are not racist remarks. These are things that are said to anyone who is critical, from north or south of the Thames, east or west of the country or even from the next street.

Why do people have to be so touchy, is it because they really are inferior?

ps .i used to work with a chap of a certain religion who did not celebrate christmas or anything to do with it but come christmas holiday he still took his two weeks holiday like the rest of us and still took his free turkey from the boss too
