| The most satisfying thing in angling.... Is it just me or is the best feeling in our sport when you catch your first fish on a fly/float/plug/feather that YOU made? It blows me away when that the bit of tackle YOU designed, made with your own hands and then used gets the result you were after. Anyone else feel the same? ![]() __________________ Just remember, not all the heroes died. www.helpforheroes.org.uk |

| Re: The most satisfying thing in angling.... I agree. Although I've never made a fly/plug or feather, it felt great when I caught fish on my own rig for the first time. I think it was a pulley/pennel rig and I caught a whiting if I remember correctly. I was also chuffed when I caught a carp last year with a home made boilie ![]() |
