Re: need help please

Depends on what your after ma11.
If you put a nightcrawler bit between 1' and 4', under a small bobber you'll prob. get bluegill.
Hang a minnow the same way and you'll prob get crappie.
Don't use too big a bobber or you may not see its movement. Use just enough weight to sink the bait, 1 small split shot. I really like the weighted styrofoam style. Just big enought to float your rig and still see it. Keep your line fairly taut and when you see it dip, set the hook.

Try this too, from the bottom.
Tie your hook 1' to 3' from the end of your line and leave the 'tag' end. Crimp some split shot on the very end. You can tie 1 single overhand knot on the end if the slpit shot slide off too easily. Bait with a minnow and cast out in an area you think/know is fairly deep. Reel it in SLOWLY, set the hook the instant you feel a bite. See if you cant pull up a walleye (Zander for our English m8s). The magazines will call this drop-shoting and tackle companies sell costy sinkers w/line grips to accomplish the same result.

Good Luck and let us know how many tubs of fish you haul in!!
