| Cafishing River Ebro 4th August - Report Have been looking forward to this trip for quite some time now, the morning finally came, we set out onto the river around noon. Spirits were high. It was a great day, some cloud cover which later disappeared. We were fishing with live Mullet at about 20ft deep. We had been fishing for about an hour and a half, when Ted's float went down, but only for a couple of seconds and it came back to the surface. 10secs later my float dropped and line wizzed off the rod, i was into one. my heart started racing as i reeled it in, my wrist started to get sore, followed by my arm, i fought with it for around 20mins and when we got it in it was a beauty, 94lb. We fished on and had a few Beers and it took about another 2-3hours before we saw any action again, this time the Cat took the mullet on the surface with a massive splash, was great to see. My brother reeled it in and it was 75lb All in all it was a great day, few beers, great weather and a couple of nice fish. __________________ Fishing for a lifetime, not a past-time.     |
