 Catfish meet Bananna Steve, Twiddler, Mithrandir & myself have booked the Paddock speciemen lake at Todber Manor Fisheries Dorset ( http://www.todbermanor.co.uk/ ) from Midday on Friday 7th until Midday Sunday 9th Sept to try for some of the Catfish that this lake holds.  The lake contains Cats up to 48lb & Carp to around 30lb. I believe there may still be a place available. | Re: Catfish meet I have started my prep for this one now. I have tied some braid hooklinks to size 4 hooks, bought some 22mm crab pellets, got some frozen lamprey and some ox liver too. I might even try some frozen peeler crab I have ( was no good at sea so try it for the cats). I am getting a sample of some fluorocarbon line 35lb BS called "hardcore" design to resist conger and pike biting through it, Should have it early next week and I will tie a few up with this and test it out. Any good suggestions to other things to try, I am not a fan of live baiting so it is frozen baits, pellets and the odd whole tin of luncheon meat so far. __________________ Life is understood looking backwards, but it must be lived forwards. |
