Still fishing the Baa water.

Had been a match on but come 4 had been empty, like it down there I often get the place to myself for the evening, though lately ive been finding alot of rubbish around "epic carp hair rig" packets and today I found a load of line with 4 nasty cheap looking hooks hair rigged in it. Same with all clubs I guess all you can do is stick it in your bag and not leave anything yourself.

cheers bungz, ive found a few ready made rigs, an bought all the beads an wot not an now make my own, an i know how to othe hairless knot thing, cheers mate,, im getting there, i did make my own version of the helicopter rig, an had some well experinced carp angelrs say it was good, but one thing let it down that the weight was tied, so they said it would be known as a ddeath rig, as if u get snapped the weight would stay on it, , so i stopppedd using them, an know im trying to make it so that the weight is on a quick realease attachment, but also make it sothat if i get snapped the weight will always either come to me, or fall offf, but the guys i showed it to,said it was a really good design an good idea.
They was really nice to talk to, a soem of the carp anglers i met have been quite snobby, they seem to laugh if u doint have really expensive gear. well when i caught a 20lb mirror an they blanked they came over to watch me land it, an when i landed it an put it back, i said to them wll i idnt need a harrrison or sinics rod to do that, they didnt like that mind lol,sorry to say but it dont really matter if i havenmt got a harrison rod or wot ever, only matter is, is that i love fishin an alwasy will do.
Dont get me wrong, i would like to have a really nice set up like that , but i cant afford that in one go, an would have to buy it in bits an bobs an it would take forever, so i just got myself a nice littel set uup set off ebay,a few of the carpers i tlk to, say its good for a starter set an i will upgrade to to some better rods when i can afford it, but for now, wot i got is good enough, the rods are smooth, got a good actiopn on them, an so has an i can get a good distnce on the cast with them an then reels are smooth to an casts well, i mean i fish a big lake,an i m getting over half way on a 21gram weight , an the otehr boys are using like 4oz weights an just getting the same length, then again, ive always had a goodd cast technique, aswasy got further then most people will do.

we are our own worst enemies bungz does my head in round here they ruind salford park under spaghettie junction with litter moving fish ect, and the idots up sandwell valley i tend to go out of town now darnells by tenbury the complex up by glouster, kingsbury water park ,,,,

When i go fishing, i take a plastic bagwith me, an then any tackle i find i put it in there an in thebin it goes, unless i can use it myself. but old line , goes straight in the bin an so does rusty hooks.
While fishing the other day i was fighting a mirror carp an i got it to bout 5 metres away from me to the right, an it wouldnt move any further an something was snaggin it up ,an i couldnt get to it, so while fighting it, i took off my jeans, an put my trianers back on an got in the water an started to wade out with rod n landling net, but i got bout a 2 metres out an it just dropped to deep an oculdnt go any further but then i managed to free it, an landed it, an when i landed it, i found it had been wrappped round some line with a float on it, an a hook, an the hook was a worm hook with barbs up the shank to keep the worm on, an on our waters with the club im in, you are only allowed barbless or micro babred, so anyway i kept the hook an gave it to one of the bailiffs.
He said it was prob one of the polish people that go fishing there, lots go with out permits, or without buying day ticktes, an some have even been caught catching carp an kiling them an cooking them on the lake side, they got done for it though as far as im aware, but even if it wasnt the pols it could have been some kids, as a lot of kids fish it, an i have seen a few fish with worm hooks, an ive cut them off there line an give them a barbless hook to fish with, or give them a hook to nylon barbless.
As i think it is up to us to help our waters be run the right way, an to help inforce the rules even if not a bailiff an to report things.
As i see it as protecting our waters an our enjoyment.
