Hair rig With a Bait band? Hi just getting back into my fishing and going crazy trying out all the new gadgets that are out there. i'm looking at using bait bands and was wondering the best way to use them? is there a special way to use them on a hair rig length/distance from the hook etc. how to attach it to the hair rig itself.(sounds like a dumb question) any help would be great cheers.

Re: Hair rig With a Bait band? You dont normally attach it to the hair , you dont need a hair when using bands , the band goes on the hook normally on the shank, if using pellets attach the band to the hair with a half tucked blood knot or which ever knot your happy using I normally skip the band and drill the pellet and attach to hair unless using small pellets Tip when drilling pellets heat your drill first ,you will find it goes in easier

Re: Hair rig With a Bait band? I do use a band on a hair, I like the longer presentation in some circumstances. I simply loop the band through the loop on the hair and back through itself, then stretch it over a pellet. It is simply and you may lose the odd bait, but then I use it mainly when re-casting frequently. To help the band hold better you can score a groove in the pellet for it to sit in. They are great for dumbell boillies __________________ Life is understood looking backwards, but it must be lived forwards.
