Question making your own ledcore

Hi guys i went to my local takel shop earlyer and got make your self ledcore. I was just woundering if it was bettter to make your own and has anyone got experience . may thanks wetnets

Re: making your own ledcore

I make my own links /ie i splice the ends

Please make sure that if using leadcore that you are using a safe rig so that the fish will.can not get tethered by trailing leadcore

as above. Make sure everything you put on can slide off easily. Leadcore has had a lot of bad press but used in the right situation and set up correctly it fine. Try and avoid using if fishing close to snags or and thing it can get snarled up on. As an alternate you could try making yous own flurocarbon leaders, alot safer and cheaper :)
