PVA Tape Carp Fishing

PVA Tape
Ok this is basic but thought I would say a few words on PVA Tape. There are many makes on the market and cost from £3 - £5 and will last quiet sometime so is a good buy.All it does is once it comes into contact with water it disolves in a few seconds.

PVA and Hair Rigs
First and best use for me is to use it to hold your hair rig together so that it does not get tangled or wrapped around the hook . This means you know that your bait is presented correctly ever time.So simple yet so many anglers do not do this !

PVA Tape and PVA Bags
When using a PVA Bag simply twist the PVA bag tight and use the PVA tape to tie it up firmly

PVA Tape and boilies
Basics are you thread PVA Tap with say 4 boilies and then tie it to your hook. This way you have a nice little cluster for when a carp comes along.

Sorry will get piccy next time Im out

So and more ideas or thoughts on PVA Tape just add them

Re: PVA Tape Carp Fishing

It would be unnatural in appearance for the fish because the fish are concentrating on the food from the PVA bag which is on the lake bed and the pop up would get in the way. However if the pop up was very accurately made to be just 1cm up off the lake bed it will be ok i reckon. Its better to use similar bait on your hook to what you are putting in the bag. eg: Maize, chopped boilie..etc. Incidentally it is a good idea to use many different size and shaped baits and freebie offerings in the bag so that the carp will not be too fussy with what they eat. you should then get more bites. Regards Sam.
