It did put up a good fight. It also takes a long time for it to recover. I had to hold the fish in the margins for 30 mins to recover. They use so much energy trying to get away that there knackered when you land them

superb report, good pics and some lovely fish
good to here theres a sturgeon still there
and its good to see a fishery wwhere the owners are still improveing the place and not just letting it lie as well

Thanks for a great report and some absolutely Fab fish and pictures.
what a great looking Sturgeon as well.

NB. I have never caught a sturgeon, maybe this year if I'm lucky and all goes to plan.

i cool my right down ,then put in a coolbox with lots of ice packs placed around them , kept like this i get a week out of them

i was thinking of getting a load and trying them on a medusa rig like i say this is really doing the biz on some big carp waters over here i cant find anything on it being tried ect in france.....

only bit that bothers me is the catfish like em too i believe
