La Foret

Family just booked a week at 'La Foret' a small converted barn and private lake for mid august I'm really looking forward to this one! its the first time i have fished france for carp and i'm sure it'll be alot different compared to what i have fished in England.

Here's the link:

I will hopefully get that double figure carp which eludes me so far! Anyone heard anything about it? or been to it themselves?

Cheers,

BW

Re: La Foret

Well we havent got the travel sorted out yet! My mum and dad were going to do that this morning but things got in the way so it will have to be tommorow!

One option is get the boat from Belfast to Stranraer then travel down the south of england and get the boat across the channel and then drive to the venue. (with a 1 night stay somewhere in england)

Another option is driving down through the Republic of Ireland and getting the boat to hollyhead and heading down the south of england like that.(also with a 1 night stay)

3rd option is to go either of these ways but get the train under the channel that way!(once again with an overnight break)

Any of these ways will no doubt take us a good 2/3 days...

But the parents were also talking about staying in paris a few nights before we head down to the venue! Its tactics though, please the mother by doing that, means she will lets me fish for more days

Re: La Foret

Thanks Nick,

I should do it this year! last years fishing in Devon was very poor and the year before we were at anglers paradise also in devon and the weather was atrocious (well thats the excuse i am using ) and only ended up with a few small carp including my PB! So thats why its still only 9lbs. It also doesnt help matters that there are very very few places in Northern Ireland and Ireland that actually stock carp, In Northern Ireland you could count them on your hands!
