| Hope you dont mind but just thought i'd make a seperate thread as took me ages to find in other long one ![]() and mrs asked me last night what time i was leaving as shes away to a show on the friday and wether she would be home ok for me ( i'd just go anyway )so as mike put up but I have ammended times by 1 hour as steve suggested to allow for delays ( now to change car on ebooking for ferry )------------------------ Just put the details of the route into autoroute to sort some timings out. It reckons 2-15 hrs to get from my place to dover. It reckons 1-35hrs for Dave( if i'm lucky mate) to get to my place and about 30 mins for Ian to get to my place. So a Rough Itinerary could be:- Fri 5th Sept 08 Dave leaves home with Dave at 22-00 pm Friday( so if you get to mine for about 9.15 dave we got loads of time to squeeze gear in my car, will pm address soon for you to put in your PratNav Ian And Steve leave at 23.00, We meet at the Countess Services on the 303 just past Stonehenge at 23.30, quick coffee stop ( if they are open, I will check) then depart at 00-00 hours for Dover, arrive Dover approx 02.30-03-00 hrs for a 04-00 check-in. Meet Paul and Chris at terminal. Sail 04-30 hrs Arrive France 07-00 hrs, drive Approx half way (120 miles) stop for breakfast about 9 am have an hour stop here this is in the toll road, so stops speed checks on the toll section. Leave about 10 am and drive the last 130 miles, approx 2 hours and arrive about midday at the lakes. Does that sound about right to every one, we can have a few longer breaks if you want because I do not think we can arrive too early at the lake. I personally would probably start a little earlier than stated above to allow for night roadworks etc, but due to the lack of traffic at that time of night it is possibly unnecessarry -------------------------------- cheers for that mike ![]() dave __________________ 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day , Game on www.exmouthsaa.co.uk I have the body of a God, Pity its Buddha :-0 |
