| Anyone fancy a week in France? As you may have noticed some of us on here are going for a weeks Carp and Sturgeon fishing in France in September this year. Just recently one of our number has had to pull out, so that leaves 7 of us going. The lake is booked exclusively for 8 people, so there is a spare place available if someone is interested in joining us. Have a read of the threads we have put up about it, mainly this one. If anyone is interested please post here or PM me and I will give you the low down on costs and timings. We are going on this trip as a SOCIAL FISHING HOLIDAY, the idea is to enjoy good company and catch a few fish, this is not a mission to catch the biggest fish or take the lake record. I know I for one will be taking my baits out of the water some evenings and having a few beers with the other forumites there. The lake has been chosen for its social side, the water is supposed to fish well, so we should all get a few good runs, the lake seems to have plenty of thirties and some forties, maybe even a fifty, it has Cats and Sturgeon to the seventies. So if you are interested, let me know and I will put any names forward to the other party members so we can decided who will be joining us. If a couple want to come I have spoken to the owners and we can accommodate an extra one at a slightly increased cost. Mike __________________ Life is brief and fragile. | Re: Anyone fancy a week in France? I would so love to be able to afford the time to join you guys. I can't even take the time to travel the 4 hours up to the Ebro and go after the huge cats and Carp up there. |

| Re: Anyone fancy a week in France? Given that I am a professional fishing guide in Spain and my kids don't go back to school till mid September and then for only half day until the 1st of October. I don't think my wife would give me a pass. However if I do move back to the UK as is possible I would love to join you guys. |

| Re: Anyone fancy a week in France? if anyone knows of a decent catfish repelent please tell me!.. i dont wanna catch one of them .. for those that dont know i am petrified of eels.... and to me a catfish is a overgrown eel with a bigger mouth! i will get close to a catfish which is more than i will with a eel! but if possible i would like to avoid the buggers! __________________ fishing for fish is not as simple as you may think! |

| Re: Anyone fancy a week in France? Dave, if you fish a mono or fluoro hook link then the little pads they use for grinding food will break you of very quickly. If you are using braid hooklinks then do not feed bit chunks of luncheon meat!! Ask Steve or Paul what a big cat goes like!!!! __________________ Life is brief and fragile.
