Re: Blue Water Lakes - how are we all getting there?

ok, some rough maths now.

to arrive at the lake 10 am, 250 miles french motorway with meal break is about 5 hours.

arrive france 5 am, leave dover 2 am english time( allow a bit for checking in and time difference)

arrive Dover 2 am, means I leave home approx 11-30 friday night, greenheart and Banana Steve approx 11-00 friday night, the 2 daves approx 9 friday night.

How does that sound to the drivers??

Is ok by me.

Does that mean 4 hours fighting with the bivvy, eat the chicken curry that is the first night meal, drink WAY to much beer, then re-erect the bivvy due to wind damage?

Right, let me get this clear.... As I understand it, Mike's going to treat us all to breakfast at the services on the way to Dover. All those who don't have to drive are going to get completely wrecked on the ferry crossing & then Claudia's going to set up the bivvy's for those of us who are too p!ssed to do it for ourselves when we get there. Sounds good to me LOL Seriously though. I'm happy to go along with whatever everyone else wants to do.

Haha me putting the bivvies up? You having a giraffe......I'm having problems even hanging the washing out.

Besides, I'll be the first to be wrecked , as they only allow one glas of milk a day during the rest of the year

I'm sorry Mike, but i'm not convinced. These guys have obviously never come across a pair of my socks, after a couple of days fishing in a pair of waders during a heatwave......
