Re: All systems go for France 2008

Hi Dave you need a minimum 42" net, I have a Spare handle and a net should be any more £20.00. I got a 50" for £20.00 from my local tackle shop.

Hope this helps

Regards, Steve

Re: All systems go for France 2008

thanks steve i have a 42'' net but it just seems to buckle and fold in on itself when i get a fish over 15lb in it.......had them upto 27lb 2oz last week i have a couple of spare poles so thats not a problem... all the nets i saw for sale were greys ect and some were over 100 quid!

also anyone heard what baits are worth taking?....or are we going for the bait they sell onsite?..its probably best and cheaper i suppose!

Re: All systems go for France 2008

Sorry dave i miss read your post i thought you didn't have one, The one i got was a shakespeare one and it is very strong, and was only £20.00. I think that you are paying for a name with the Greys. It took me a while to find the one i liked, I like you had one that buckled, I tend to take the poles out now and wrap the fish up in the net , by rolling the net around the handles and carrry it to the Mat.

Re: All systems go for France 2008

Just a little note to all who paid me by cheque, they were banked today, so expect them to clear in the next few days.

Nearly there now, so I will be sending the cheque off to the lakes this weekend.

Then it is time to start tackle tarting for bling for the trip.
