Only a suggestion, but i would like to leave a little earlier, just incase of any problems, i.e roadworks etc. say 11ish

I personally would probably start a little earlier than stated above to allow for night roadworks etc, but due to the lack of traffic at that time of night it is possibly unnecessary.

I am happy to set off an hour earlier, but The two Daves have the longest journey, so if they are happy with that then that is fine by me, I would rather sit an extra hour at the ferry terminal than miss the sailing. I will probably have a "power nap" in the car.

i can drive too if you get too tired! although i must admit im reluctant too drive someone elses car in a strange place and doing the french leg would scare me even in my own car!!
