Re: Carp fishing bedchair

I have just invested in one of these:-
eBay.co.uk: JRC TERRY HEARN STEALTH V2 BEDCHAIR "new" 2006 model (item 290063265744 end time 16-Jan-07 16:29:09 GMT)
With being a tight Northerner the nearly half price hooked me and at 6'3" and 21st. this chair is perfect for my large frame.

Re: Carp fishing bedchair

fox stalker very good and a good price too but jrc and chub chairs are also very compeditively priced and its really hard to recomend one particular chair but here a few thats i would be happy using .

Stalker Bedchair £69.99

An exceptional bedchair and the first Fox model to be sold for less than 100 pounds. You will find most of the features that appear on the top of the range models comprehensively mirrored on this fantastic Stalker product. Like all of our bedchairs, the Stalker Bedchair legs are fully adjustable to cope with uneven banks to ensure a level and stable fishing position, while the mattress is fully padded and extremely comfortable. Couple this with the fact that the Stalker is compact when folded down and yet spacious when erected and you'll begin to appreciate how much thought has gone into its design. Fox Mudfeet can be fitted and the Stalker is packaged fully laced and ready to use.

Stalker Bivvy Bed £99.99

A new addition to the successful Stalker range of products. The "Stalker" brand is popular with anglers as products offer design and manufacturing excellence at an affordable price. This is the first four legged model Fox have ever produced. All six legs can be adjusted for greater comfort and stability

TERRY HEARN ROAMER 3 LEG BEDCHAIR

The TH Roamer is unbeatable value it has been manufactured using the finest quality components. The height of roamer is midway between the Stealth and Cocoon bedchairs and due to its advanced design is the most compact when folded away. All the features you would expect from a JRC bedchair including high tensile aluminium frame, fully padded and sprung mattress all plastic components manufactured in verton.
Aluminium ultra light 6061 frame.
Weight - 7.5 Kilos

Price: £89.99
Terry Hearn STEALTH 3 LEG BEDCHAIR

Designed in conjunction with Terry Hearn.
The frame is made of aerospace grade 6061 aluminium making it strong and light. 10mm 'Comfort Control' shock cord
The Stealth has been particularly popular with brolly users as its low level design makes it ultra stable and gives extra head room, although height can easily be increased with the adjustable legs. Hollow fibre has also been incorporated into the mattress to further increase comfort.
FEATURES: Ultra light 6061 Aluminium Frame, Zipped in removable head pillow, 10mm 'comfort control' shock cord, Multi point recliner system, Low level Stealth leg design, Fully adjustable legs, Swivel and fold flat mud feet, High density foam filled cover. SPECIFICATION: Weight: 8.8kg / 19.4lb, Frame Width: 75cm / 29.5in, Cover Width: 84cm / 33in, Frame Length: 200cm / 78.7in, Rated to: 190kg / 30 Stone

£129.99

Terry Hearn Super Cocoon 3 Leg Bedchair

The first and only three leg folding into 4 Carp Bed. Conventional bedchairs are great but for long sessions you can't beat the strength and comfort of this design. By placing the three legs equally apart and reducing the end overhangs we've increased the frame strength considerably, 255kg (40 Stone) to be exact! The shorter sidebars are inherently stronger and have made it possible to spring the matress on the underside; this gives firmer support. This full size bed folds down to the dimensions of a large suitcase that can be easily put on the back seat of a small hatchback car!
FEATURES: Ultra light 6061 Aluminium frame, Zipped in removable head pillow, Multi point recliner system, Unique four folding frame, Fully adjustable legs, Swivel and fold flat mud feet, High density foam cover, Supplied in Zipped bag.
SPECIFICATION:
Weight 9.4kg / 20.7lb,
Frame Width 73.5cm / 29in,
Cover Width 78.5 / 31in,
Frame Length 205cm / 80.7in Rated 40 stone / 255kg
Price: £129.99

Snooper 3 leg Bedchair

The Snooper has a generously padded mattress which is fully skirted and features an integral pillow which is zipped for easy access. The mattress also has a wipe clean section at the foot end and is supplied with an additional and removable wellie wipe for those extra wet and muddy occasions. The low profile frame is manufactured from lightweight Aero-aluminium which is strengthened at the stress points. The legs are adjustable via our excellent plate lock leg system and are fitted with swiveling mudfeet for increased stability. The bedchair is finished off with a nice chunky easy grip “soft feel” handwheel for positive locking.
Generously padded full perimeter mattress system with shock-cord elastication & integral pillow.
Removable easy clean wellie wipe.
Swivel mudfeet to prevent any sinking into soft terrain.
Innovative LOCKING LEG SYSTEM with 4 adjustable legs, fitted with the PLATE LOCK leg extension.
Snooper reclining mechanism with chunky easy grip soft feel handwheel for easy adjustment.

Re: Carp fishing bedchair

Richard,

You have to be careful regarding the weight of some of the Bedchairs on the market, I remeber looking at a Chub one - it weighed a ton and probably would only fit in a 2 man bivvy!

I can vouch for my Daiwa infinity - reasonably light, three legs, built in pillow and poncy pocket! £79

But I still like and use my smaller JRC Clubman - many a blank night spent on that one!

As its important probably best to test them in the shop as opposed to buying by mail order - they may not let you stay all night though

Barrie

Re: Carp fishing bedchair

Just a thought but can you get (for carp anglers)Remote control reels??

Just think you could all lie back on your bed chairs ,in your bivvies listening for your optonics to go off ,drinking tea whilst remotely winding your rods in

How about one of those robots in the Honda advert to fish for you whilst you all sit/lie/sleep/eat/go shopping/to the pub .

Only joking fellas,tin hat on.
