| inline weights just started out and was wondering what i need to use in line weights. just trying to get as much info on board as possible really. i have the hair rigs, the inline leads. i think i need the sillicon tubing as well. do i just put the line through the tubing then through the lead and attach to the rig? i dont mean to sound funny but is that all it is? any help would be greatly appreciated |

| Re: inline weights im not a carp fisherman so i wudnt know about it, but i might be tempted to just stick it on the line and put a splitshot or some rig putty there to stop it slipping. but i dont know whether that would damage the line or something lol ![]() __________________ "Alright Jack, we all ready to fish?" | Re: inline weights Firstly welcome to the forum! I would normally use a lead core leader with a size 8 swivel. You pull the leader through the in-line weight until the swivel fits snugly into the weight and then attach the leader to your main line and your hook link to the swivel. The lead core keeps the rig pinned to the bottom of the water you are fishing, the swivel keeps the rig from pulling through the lead and if the fish get caught up on anything then the lead should be able to pull up the line saving the fish from a lingering death. I hope this helps! ![]() |
