Question Bubble floats?

I have had a couple of bubble floats in my tackle box for some time but have not used them. Could anyone tell me how to attach the said float to my line.
They are the standard type with an eyed lug on each side, the eyes are then lined with a brass insert.

Would you use them as an in-line float or attach them to the end of your line and then attach the hook link?

If the latter would you use some kind of clip as the brass insert looks like it could have a sharp edge?

Re: Bubble floats?

i think these are the ones you are on about biggun.
have to say i,ve never used them but i think you would attach a snap link and swivel to the two brass rings , one would attach to the main line the other to your hook link. but this would form a kind of death rig if you snap up behind the float so the carp would be dragging the float around .
i suppose you could attach a snaplink to one of the eyes, then thread a bead then the bubble with the snap link on then another bead and then a swivel . and then attach your hook link to the swivel on the end .and then tie a piece of power gum above the top bead .
however i would suggest that you don,t use them and you go out and buy the new FOX inlne bubble floats much easier and simple to use just thread the line through the middle and attach you hooklink via the swivel that insert into the black rubber on the end .

here are the fox inline bubble floats

hope this is of help to you
