Re: Best Rod Pod Heres a pic of the Defiant Trident pod i use, from a custom builder. ![]() Very versatile since you can use it as a 3 rod pod, or 2 rod pod and seperate bansticks, or 3 seperate sets of banksticks. Also, say if you are fishing two rods and want the tips down low, but want to fish one with the tips up high, no probs. keith will build whatever you want. For instance, even though the system allows you to put your butt reing behind the alarm, i wanted a longer 'axle' so he built one to my spec. Also check out his hawk hangers, bought a pair since i took that photo, they are PERFECT. ![]() __________________ Cheers Mike

Re: Best Rod Pod No mate they're NG's, love 'em. The cords are made from solid silver, are very light and supple. £15 complete !!! So thats £45 for three, i remember being charged over £100 for solar stainless hangers etc, Keith has opened my eyes a bit and made me realise how much fox solar etc rip you off to be honest. Top kit. __________________ Cheers Mike

Re: Best Rod Pod arhhh NG,s i thought the SS20 stainless reel fitting only went on the century FS or the FMJ my mates got standards century NG,s without the SS20 reel fitting i had a play with them casts and play fish really well your right about the named company hiking the prices up on tackle its the name you pay for now. once upon a time i would have said it was the quality you paid for but sadly the standards have dropped now . tightlines kevin ![]()

Re: Best Rod Pod There's definately stronger design rods about but i use them on fish up to 20lb on a syndicate lake as well as larger fish elsewhere and you still get a proper bend in them I wouldn't mind having a 3.5tc in the quiver but then again i don't think i'm compressing a 2.75 properly yet so i know there's alot to come out of them. I like the globetrotter pod, what difference does having the rods sitting on the axle bar make do you think compared to say the worldwide. __________________ Cheers Mike
