| Re: Catching carp of the surface i have to say i started carping in 1978 and none of these companies where not about but when they started to appear in thge eighties, i sadly fell for alot of the hype along with most if not everybody else but now nearly thirty years on i now fish virtually the same as i did back then . although there have been some good innovation along the way in tackle and in bait production . now as with carping being a bursting point on most waters the pressure on the companies to get there products sold is immense . but that a whole new post and we can disscuss this till the cows come home but i think we are diversing off richard original post sorry richard. tightlines kevin ![]() |

| Re: Catching carp of the surface I bought the Fox rig guide and have found it very good. I do use a Fox rod but have very little other Fox products. I found a good copy of the Fox tackle box made by Chub, it is the same size but the compartments are not movable and my chair is also by Chub, it is almost identical to the Fox stalker but has the mud feet with it as standard (£14.99 instead of £29.99). Back to the original thread I tend to use the zig rig when the wind gets up but like to use a small bubble float on calm days! |
