Question Baggin Wagglers?

As I am new to this lark I am still looking for good sound advice so here goes -
I have just bought a couple of "Baggin Wagglers" and was wanting to know if any of you have had any luck with them and how best to fish them?

I am thinking a single piece of sweetcorn hair rigged about 2 to 3 feet below the waggler on a size 12 or 10 hook! Am I in the ballpark or way off the mark?

Also thinking of trying them in morning or is it still too early in season for this approach?

Re: Baggin Wagglers?

just wondering why you would want to hair rig your sweet corn if i,m fishing waggler style or stalking with a float i normaly will fish 1 to 3 pieces of corn direct on to the hook in sizes between 6 to 12
a ploy which might help you is when i some time fish early season for carp on a warmer day i will catapult some very small floating fish meal pellets (2mm to 3mm) onto the top wait for carp to start taking them then i will fish a a float with all the shot up under the float for casting and then have about 18inches to 2 ft drop to the hook so when you cast in behind the floating pellets and reel the float into the pellet where the carp are now feeding and stop it the corn on the hook will slowly sink and the carp will take it eagerly on the drop if you get it right you can catch carp like this cracking 25lb 12oz fen drain carp

not probably the answer you are looking for but a great technique to have in your armoury when they not having it down in the water
hope this is any help to ya

Re: Baggin Wagglers?

Cheers Kev, The Baggin Waggler is a feeder type float for mid water feeding carp. I wasn't sure how to present my hook bait and the hair rig was just a thought. Nice looking carp by the way, I would think myself Lucky to bag something like that with my present experience.
