Smile My first carp...and shes a beauty

This is my one and only carp caught in the Bristol Avon during a trip on my boat over from Cardiff last year. We (myself and girlfriend) were coming downstream from Bath towards Bristol when we decided to moor up on a quiet stretch for a couple of hours and chill (i.e. so I could have a fish). I cast out my feeder to the far bank and put down the rod. The echo sounder had shown depths between 10 and 12 feet straight across.
As we were chatting I noticed bubbles rising to the surface on the far bank slightly upstream from my feeder. I didn't say anything but just kept my eye on the area and slowly moved my hand closer to my rod...just in case. There were more bubbles, further down stream now and coming closer to my feeder. Could it be a feeding carp I wondered? Then wham! My rod tip went over and I wound into what felt like a snag - until it swam away. My heart raced but I remained calm - something big was hanging onto my 4lb trace, which was connected to my 4lb mainline - this was not a time for hasty decisions and excessive pressure.
Well, after half an hour of too-ing and fro-ing I finally got the fish to the side of the boat. Far too big for my landing net I managed to grab the fish and get her on board. I estimate her at about 15lbs and is one of my most memorable fish to date.

We were in the middle of nowhere as far as I could tell - it was just a random spot in mid country with farm land all around - the sun was out, the water was deep and so we just stopped. It was one of those days. Incidently, as I was playing this fish there was another the same size shadowing it all the way to the boat right. It was right next to it - I was worried it might cause a tangle. Must have been her bloke. Fortunately she was lip hooked and in perfect condition when 'she' went back.
