Re: winter carp Hi mate. Proven good winter baits are Tutti-Frutti boilies, and small pineapple pop-ups. Sweet flavours are supposed to work better in winter, but I dunno how true it is. Big bunch of maggots and worms work well too. __________________ Dan `·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸ Big or small, look after them all! ¸.·´¯`·.¸ ><((((º>

Re: winter carp I think you,ll find thats its the other way round norfolk "boy" spicey baits in winter and sweet baits in the summer, it realy dose depends on your water so lacal knowledge dose help also try using smaller hook baits in the winter seeing as the carp wont be feeding as aggresively small hook baits are more likely to be acepted and use as much bait as you want................... ![]()

Re: winter carp I think it depends on the water to be honest. As the water temps have dropped recently, I've been successful with pineapple pop-ups, an inch off the bottom with a SSG shot. Contrary to popular belief, I've caught with spicy flavours in the summer months as much as fruity flavours, the carp in my club lake love pepperami or frankfurters in the summer. Best to take both I reckon Rob
