Red face Hair Rigs

I not been carp fishing very long ,everythihg is self taught. The carp fishing world down here seems to be very secritve.NO one on the lakes wants to give advice.I`ve made some hair rigs but how long should the hair be from the hook.I`m using the same baits as other anglers but all i seem to get is knocks no definate bites.i`m wondering if my rigs are wrong ?

Re: Hair Rigs

Depends on the size of your bait.

I like to have a gap of about 1" between bait and hook

There's an article here on hair rigs
