| Grass Carp Myself and Devon born have found a lake that has Grass Carp upto 40lb in it. The owners say that they are very whiley and have hardly ever been caught. Anyone know the best method to catch Grass Carp. Cheers.      |

| Re: Grass Carp ooooo, grassies, are they in a wel fished lake or is it relativly 'wild'? things like chick peas and bread I find good for grassies but i've only had em up to bout 10lb  |

| Re: Grass Carp There mouth is shaped to feed of the top and so try mixers also the record was caught on a pop up tiger nut the record being 39lb good luck..... |

| Re: Grass Carp We decided not to fish the lake that had the Grass carp in it and decided to fish Revels near Dorchester instead. Can you beleive it!! I managed to land a 12lb Grass carp on a Mainline Pro-Active 18mm tigernut boilie over a PVA bag of 5mm Pro-Active Tigernut pellets. I can not beleive how much more powerfull the Grass Carp is over the normal Carp. On closer inspection they have a very similair head and body shape to a Mullet. I also managed a 10lb Mirror on the fly rod.  |

| Re: Grass Carp We had to switch the lamp off to get it in. Everytime it came near the light it went balistic. It was quite a handfull out the water as well. |

| Re: Grass Carp Having been told that this complex was full of pasties, I was very put off! But PP finally persuaded me to go and off we went! Upon arrival found I had forgotten my club membership, but the owners were good enough to allow me to fish! We looked around for a quiet Lake (7 Lake Complex) and picked the Pike Lake Quite far away from the Tackle shop. Then found I had Also left my head torch at home!!!(Great)  Fished simaliar tatics to PP but didnt have a run all night! Very Unhappy indeed! The Grass Carp did make up for all the problems I had though!!! Must be more prepared next time!!!  |
