How to stop tangles? Does anyone else here have problems with tangles? In particular the set up is a Fox safety clip that allows the lead to shear off. The lead is attached to the clip by a swivel and its this swivel that the braided hooklengths are tangling around. I use ready made Drennan rigs but the problem is the same for other makes. ( All braid ) . I thought of covering the swivel with silicone tube but cannot find anything wide enough to go over the swivel. Do others have the problem and how did you deal with it? Thanks in advance. __________________ Shut up and play yer guitar....

I only have a vague idea of what your describing (from nglsh tackle sites and e-bay), but what if you took silicone seal in a tube and slathered it on and let it dry instead of tubing? In the pix it looks like heat shrink tube. I wondered how you heated it w/o damaging the mono, silicone tube makes a lot more sence. ![]()

Re: How to stop tangles? cut the swivel off the lead. or slide a small amount of silicon on the hooklink and push it over the eye of the swivel. this will push the hook link away from the lead.
