carp rig and bait help

hey all going fishing on the 5/2/12 and was wondering about some new rigs but do not know were to start i know how to tie a hair rig and chod rig but is there a better rig out there to use mainly useing boilies,pellets,corn,spam,worms and maggots. maly going for carp plz can some one help me.

There are loads of videos on you tube showing you how to tie different rigs. Some times I think it's best to keep it simple and stick to the rigs you know well, unless they are not working and you need to try a different one.

I totally agree, keep it simple, a running ledger with a hair rig always works well or a bolt rig. I tend to use bolt rigs they can be banned in some lakes as if your line snapped the fish would be lunking the lead around with it as the lead is fixed. So when the fish takes the bait and bolts!! for it the fixed lead will drive the hook in. Ive never had a problem with them and landed some big carp with this kind of rig. If the line did decide to snap im pritty shore the fish would have no problem spitting the hook.
