| carp rods and reels again Looking to start specimen carp fishing , looking at two rods with bait runner reels , just wondered what you guys thought of them if you have them wychwood solace 2.75 pound test curve wychwood signature 3 pound test curve + wychwood signature reel another question what bite alarms do u guys have and how do u set them up on rod pods or separate rod rests looking to spend bout 150 - 200 quid![]() |

| Re: carp rods and reels again Can't really go wrong with wychwood. If your not casting far or using leads bigger than 3oz the. The 2.75tc will be fine. If going for distance and bigger leads then the 3lb tc. Personaly I use bank sticks but it's personal preference as some venues you can't get sticks in. Alarm wise if your after a wireless review then look at the sundridge optonics. 3 alarms and receiver for roughly £100. tj |

| Re: carp rods and reels again I have a set of the 2.75 tc solace classics and they seem decent enough for all round rods. Finish is great. I wouldn't touch the reels though tbh, stick to daiwa or shimano. |
