| Carp advice! Hello Was wondering if anyone had some good ideas for bait and rigs for carp fishing (lake) , any other advice would be great.. Been at this for a little while and not much luck. Maybe bad techniques? Please help! :) __________________ Thanks Marcus www.woodsfishing.net Let's clean up the River/Canal Banks, Lakes and Shorelines. | Re: Carp advice! Take it it's some size then. The first things I would do would be to walk or scan with good pair of binoculars at first light for any shows(carp putting their heads out of the water, jumping or bubbles) at this time of year carp normaly show either first light or last light. Once you have found where they show if theres a pattern then during the day cast a lead around to see why they are there. Then start to introduce a small ammount of bait. This could be either a creamy boilie like ccmore live system or a particle mix. After a week the fish should be confident to feed. Because your starting in the winter time it. An be alot harder to catch carp. Of there are no shows then look for likely spots islands ovehanging trees etc. these will be where the carp feel safe. Water craft will be your best allie. Talk to your local fish shop they might have heard of spots that produ e better than others. tj |
